Win When They’re Singing
Contestants hear the first few bars of a song but then the volume is lowered to zero. Contestants must silently continue the song in their head and stop their stopwatch when they think it has reached the first lyrics.
With credit to TV’s House of Games, a nice challenge for musical types.
How To Play
Step 1.
This game requires some preparation from the host who needs to create a playlist of well-know songs (say 10, not instrumentals). They then measure the time from the start of the song to the first words (oohs and ahs not included).
Step 2.
Each contestant needs their own stopwatch.
Step 3.
The host starts the first track after a 3,2,1 countdown. Players simultaneously start their stopwatches. The host then stops the track after a few seconds. Players allow their stopwatches to run until the time they think the first words begin before pressing stop.
Step 4.
The host ask each player to declare their times and records them. The player whose answer is closest to the actual time measured by the host wins a point.
