How To Play

• Step 1.

  Teams of at least 6 are needed, four at one end of the course and 1 (Mum) at the other. In between you need a 'washing line' - a rope suspended just above head height - containing one peg per team. You may also wish to add other obstacles such as a ladder rope, a small jump, cones to weave between, etc.

• Step 2.

  The player at the front of the line is given a medium balloon to push up their top, a nappy and one other baby accessory (e.g. bottle, toy baby, onesie, cuddly toy, pacifier, etc.). All the other players are given one accessory each.

• Step 3.

  On the whistle, the first player in each team runs toward mum carrying their nappy, one accessory and with a balloon 'pregnancy'. When they reach the washing line they peg out their nappy to dry. When they reach mum, they give her their accessory and the 'pregnancy' balloon which she must push up her top.

• Step 4.

  Mum then runs back to the other team members leaving palyer one at the chair end. On the way back she takes the nappy from the washing line and passes that, her balloon and her accessory to the next player. They then run to the other end again, taking down the nappy on the way.

• Step 5.

  The above repeats until all players have run once and mum is back at the end she started.

• 

  The team whose mummy is back sitting on her chair with her balloon pregancy, all the team's accessories in her possession and the nappy hanging on the line to dry!

• Tips / Variations

  You might wish to brief one team and have them demonstrate the game before starting. This is a nice game to involve adults and children. If you have lots of guests, why not do heats then a final?
