How To Play

  • Step 1.

    Select 2 teams of 4 and have one at least team wear bibs or matching shirts. Line up 9 chairs and have the teams occupy the 4 seats at opposite ends with the empty chair in the middle.

  • Step 2.

    The objective is for the teams to switch places and end up at opposite ends of the row, BUT only after following 2 strict rules.

  • Step 3.

    Rule 1: The blue group can only move from left to right and the pink group can only move from right to left.

  • Step 4.

    Rule 2: Each player can only slide over if the chair next to them is empty. HOWEVER, if the player next to them is from the other team and there is an empty chair beyond them, then they can leapfrog over.

  • Step 5.

    SOLUTION: Make sure that you never make a move that results in two players from the same team sitting next to each other. Watch the video clip to see this explained fully.
