Hammer that Nail!

(Also known as: Hammerschlagen or Stump)

Contestants each try to smash their own nail nto the tree stump before anyone else. But it's not as easy as it looks!!

A popular Alpine bar game.

Step 1.
Firstly, you need to have a section of tree stump with two parallel flat ends. Stand it on one end then carefully tap a 3 inch nail for each contestant into the perimeter of the top.
Step 2.
You will also require a pin hammer like the one shown here.
Step 3.
In turns, the contestants have one swing each to try to bang their nail fully into the stump. IMPORTANT: Only the narrow end of the hammer may be used!!
First player to sink their nail fully into the stump wins.
Tips / Variations

This also works as a team relay with one nail per team and one hit per team member.

For drinks parties, add a drink penalty for an air shot (complete miss).
