Stuck in the Mud

Within a limited space players run around avoiding the IT. IT tries to touch them at which point they are "Stuck in the Mud" and stand still with legs apart. Other players can free them by passing on hands and knees between their legs.

How To Play

  • Step 1.

Define the boundary of a playing area, about 10-15m by 10-15m ideally. One person is nominated to be IT.

  • Step 2.

IT chases all other players and tags them, at which point they must stand still and open their legs as wide as possible. IT attempts to freeze all the other players in this way within a fixed time limit, say 60 seconds.

  • Step 3.

The frozen player can only be released back into the game if another player passes between their legs on hands and knees.

  • The Winner

If IT manages to freeze all the other players, she wins. Otherwise, the gang win.
