Memory Tray

Players must memorise 15-20 household items arranged a tray and then quickly write them down from memory.

How To Play

Step 1.
The host assembles an interesting collection of 15-20 household items on tray and covers them with a tea cloth. The party guests are each given a pen and paper.
Step 2.
The tray is placed in front of the party guests and then uncovered for 15 to 30 seconds depending on the age of the guests.
Step 3.
The tray is then covered and the guests have 1 to 2 minutes (again depending on the age group) to write down as many of the items as they can recall.
Step 4.
Guests write their name on their answer sheet and swap them for marking. The host uncovers the articles again and each correct answer scores one point, each incorrect answer minus 1 point.
The guest who scores the most points wins.
Tips / Variations

Tip: Repeat the game with a new set of items, but this time suggest to guests that they visualise the items connected in a daisy chain to each other in some quirky way. See if this improves their memory.
