I Went to the Shop

(Also known as: Shopping List)

An endless list of weird objects makes a long list which becomes harder and harder to remember....

Very good for memory training.

Step 1.
A great pass time game for car journeys or queues. The first player says "I went to the shop and I bought a......(insert any item).
Step 2.
The second person repeats the intro line and the first person's item and adds their own purchase item to the list.
Step 3.
Step 2 is repeated until all players have added an item, and then we are back again to the first player, the list getting longer and longer.
Step 4.
At some point a player will forget an item or confuse the order, at which point they are eliminated.
The last player who can recite the list in the correct order wins.
Tips / Variations

The trick to remembering the shopping items is to VISUALISE them connecting in a chain. So, a chair has a lamp on it and on the lamp is a picture of a car, and then a dog walks in and puts its feet on the chair and so on and so on....
